Our platform is designed for engineering companies & manufacturers of all sizes who require custom parts produced through CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, 3D Printing in aerospace, biotechnology, healthcare, robotics semiconductor industries and more.
How do I get started to receive quotes?
Once you’ve provided your email, you will get instant access to our platform. From there, you can upload your design models - 3D CAD files, 2D technical drawings, or even a zip folder containing 3D and 2D PDF files - and begin your manufacturing journey with Factorem.
What types of parts can I source through Factorem?
You can source a wide variety of custom parts, including but not limited to components made via CNC machining, 3D Printing and Sheet Metal Fabrication. Our network partners are capable of producing complex and precise parts tailored to your specifications.
How are suppliers vetted on your platform?
We carefully vet suppliers based on their experience, quality standards, and customer reviews. Upon onboarding, suppliers are continuously evaluated for their performance. Our goal is to ensure that you receive high-quality parts from reliable and trustworthy suppliers in Southeast Asia. Currently, our suppliers are based in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia.
What file formats are supported for design uploads?
To prepare an accurate quote, we require 3D CAD files to contain a singular solid body, The platform accepts the following file formats: • .step / .stp (preferred) • .ipt • .sldprt • .x_t For assemblies, please submit the CAD file for each individual part. We are unable to generate quotes for parts based on assembly files.
How secure is my data on Factorem?
We take data security seriously and implement robust measures to protect your information. This includes encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls. When you upload your CAD, we automatically sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to safeguard your proprietary designs and any project-related communication.
Can I track the status of my orders?
Yes, our platform provides order tracking features that allow you to monitor the progress of your orders from confirmation to delivery.
What if I'm not satisfied with the parts I receive?
If you are not satisfied with your part, you may send it back to us for us to rework or re-make it. Our support team is available to assist you in resolving any concerns with your order.
What are your capabilities in terms of precision and tolerances?
Our partners machines have tolerances of up to +0.002 m (2 microns).
Can you provide prototyping services?
Yes. We are able to help you produce prototypes before committing to full scale production.
What are your minimum order quantities? (MOQs)
We do not have minimum order quantities and you are welcome to order even a single piece. However, larger order volumes allow you to be eligible for better pricing.
What are your pricing and payment terms?
For new customers, we request an upfront payment to be held in escrow once the order is confirmed. For long-term customers, 30-day credit terms are available for discussion.
How do you handle logistics and shipping?
We partner closely with the following logistics partners: DHL, Fedex, UPS to ensure your parts are delivered safely and on time.
